Pet Food Pantry

Pet Food Pantry and Distribution Program

Remember that we are open two days a week for both pet food collection & distribution:
MONDAYS & WEDNESDAYS, 10AM to 1PM
at our administrative office downtown. We are located at 415 S Main Street - in the Clore Office Building (corner of Scanlon and Main Streets). Come and say "hi" to our Cher who will take care of your pet food needs and register you with our program.

This program is second in need, next to the Community Spay/Neuter Program. We maintain a pantry that stocks both cat and dog food, as well as litter and other incidentals. Food is delivered to those who contact us either once or on a monthly basis. This program greatly impacts the community and helps people maintain a relationship with their pet/pets. It also gives us a chance to build long-lasting connections with individuals or families who often have other needs that we can pursue.

CONTACT US IMMEDIATELY TO HELP WITH DONATIONS OR TO VOLUNTEER FOR COLLECTIONS OR DISTRIBUTION.

WE NEED:

Large bags of DRY DOG or CAT Food (over 5 lbs). Any brand will do.

Spring 2011 Update

Good news! For Spring 2011, we will open the office during the week for both food collections and distribution. Cher Pennington, one of several HSC volunteers will be in charge of this vital program. Stay tuned!
Second - we do a special monthly distribution, in combination with the folks at the Healthy Culpeper program. It usually takes place on a Saturday and is from 8AM to 11AM.
Call us if you'd like to help distribute each month or if you would enjoy packing/bagging food the week before distribution. The dates are mentioned on their website here
